Dress Code:

Please wear “business casual” on Thursday – no jeans or t-shirts. You are competing in a regional event and you will be representing Louisburg High School. By dressing up, it shows that you care about your performance and you will have more confidence!

Meals:

You’ll need to eat breakfast on your own before you meet up at the school.
Also, please bring money for lunch – ESU will not be providing food, but there are plenty of options for somewhere to eat. After the conclusion of the 2nd session, we will be stopping to eat somewhere in Emporia!

Down-Time:

If you’re not competing, you’ll need to have something with you to keep you occupied. ESU has not planned on any activities for students to do while they are not competing in the On-Site Contests. You must remain with the group and you cannot leave the contest premises.

Carry-In Entries:

For those of you doing the Carry-In Contest, you will need to have printed off your entry tonight. If you’re not going with the group, you need to arrange to send it with someone who is going to ESU.
If you signed up for the Carry-In Contest but do not have your entry ready to go, you will be charged $10 by LHS Journalism for each contest you signed up for but did not compete in.
Carry-In contests must be hand-delivered to the contest site by 9:00am Thursday 2/23.

Entries:

Instead of your name, you will compete by number. If you identify yourself or LHS by name or location (or if you use the wrong number) your entry will be disqualified. You will be given a label with your number printed on it. These labels should appear in the upper right-hand corner of your entry(ies).
